Innovations Transforming Logistics – Start-ups at MODERNLOG 2025

Share

The third day of MODERNLOG 2025 was all about innovation and entrepreneurial energy. The Start-up Zone powered by Smart Warehouse once again proved that logistics is a field open to new technologies, fresh ideas, and dynamic business models.

Start-ups are the driving force behind the transformation of logistics. With their fresh perspectives, flexibility, and rapid development pace, they are introducing changes that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago. For major industry players, this presents both a challenge and an opportunity—for collaboration, investment, and jointly shaping the future of the sector.

Start-up Zone at MODERNLOG – Innovation, Knowledge, and Industrial Transformation

The Partner Stage in Pavilion 8 became a space where innovative ideas met practical knowledge. Participants in the discussion panels had the opportunity to dive deep into the most pressing topics in logistics and industry.

Key themes included warehouse and production process automation, intelligent supply chain management systems, and real-time data utilization. Much attention was also devoted to digital transformation, IT systems integration, and the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in optimizing logistics operations. Sustainability and green logistics were important points of discussion as well, especially in the context of global environmental challenges.

Speakers represented a wide range of backgrounds—from venture capital funds and accelerators offering insights on funding, to logistics and retail leaders discussing corporate-start-up collaborations. Engineers and start-up founders shared hands-on experiences from product development and highlighted mistakes to avoid in early-stage projects.

The Start-up Zone stage served not only as a platform for presentations but, more importantly, as a hub for dialogue, education, and inspiration. This format added a new dimension to MODERNLOG, connecting the potential of young innovators with the experience and needs of the industrial and logistics market.

Start-up Pitching – Innovation and Business Potential Under Expert Review

A highlight of the day was the start-up pitching sessions, where emerging companies showcased their solutions in areas like automation, process optimization, data management, and warehouse robotics. Each team had only a few minutes to present their business model, technological value, and market potential—and the level of presentations was impressively high.

The pitches were evaluated by a professional jury composed of market experts, investors, and representatives of tech companies. The panel included:

  • Sławomir Wójcik – experienced manager and consultant (ex-McKinsey, Yale Ph.D.), specialist in technology, innovation, and start-ups (CIECH Ventures Sp. z o.o.)
  • Krzysztof Łuczak – Vice President of the Management Board at Grupa Blix, expert in consumer data analytics and digital innovation in the FMCG/retail sector, Business Angel
  • Zuzanna Kot – Business Development and Strategy Manager at INVESTIN
  • Patryk Bednarz – Founder of BEDNARZ Ventures
  • Radek Wierzbicki – Director of the Business Center at Łazarski University, start-up mentor, and founder of the Unsung Heroes Foundation
  • Kuba Dudek – Managing Partner at S20 / SpeedUp Group

The jury was chaired by Michał Lasocki, Partner at EEC Ventures Fund. Their expertise, experience, and diverse perspectives ensured a fair evaluation of the presented ideas and market potential.

Participating in the pitching sessions as part of the IDEA Startup Challenge gave young companies not only a chance to win awards but also a valuable opportunity for networking, connecting with investors and business partners, and receiving public validation of their concepts.

The event culminated in the announcement of the IDEA Startup Challenge 2025 winners and the award ceremony. The jury recognized start-ups that demonstrated not only innovation but also real impact on the development of modern logistics:

1st Place – DEPOTRACER

2nd Place – NICEGUYS

3rd Place – COSMOEYE

Congratulations to the winners! Your ideas and determination are proof that the future of logistics is being built here and now—with the help of bold young companies unafraid to break the mold.
