The Future of Logistics in the In4Log Zone
Visitors to the MODERNLOG Trade Fair have a unique opportunity to witness a complete, modern order picking and shipping process – fully automated, flexible, and aligned with the Industry 4.0 concept. This entire process can be observed in the dedicated In4Log Zone.
The process begins with goods buffering, managed by an integrated warehouse system from ISL, a Polish manufacturer and integrator of warehouse automation solutions operating since 2001. A key element of this setup is the LEAN-LIFT vertical lift module, which works in coordination with AMR-class autonomous mobile robots. These robots are responsible for the automatic movement of goods – for example, from storage areas to picking zones – without operator involvement. Impressively, the robots can even enter the lift module itself, minimizing aisle traffic and enhancing safety.
Next, a PAL series pallet truck operator transports the pallet through the 640PR high-speed door – a self-repairing solution built to withstand intensive use and ensure fast transitions between zones without heat loss or drafts. Equipped with advanced sensors and a self-repairing curtain system, this door excels in dynamic operating environments.
At the heart of the picking process is CAPTRON’s mobile Pick-by-Light system – the first live demonstration of its kind at the trade fair. This system enables rapid and error-free order picking, dynamic route optimization for operators, and full integration with warehouse systems. With 40 years of experience, CAPTRON delivers solutions that boost productivity, minimize errors, and perfectly support the operations of modern warehouses.
After picking is complete, the order is transferred via the ID LIFTING BASIC pneumatic manipulator to a gravity conveyor from Masklogik – an ergonomic, modular workstation. The next step is packing at the Red Steel workbench – the flagship model of the brand, designed to meet the demands of e-commerce and logistics. The bench helps organize the workspace, speeds up packing, and reduces the use of consumables.
Using a 6-meter Masklogik conveyor with a 90° turn, the order arrives at the final station, where a SMILIFT vacuum manipulator with a BECKER vacuum pump precisely places it on a pallet. SMILIFT offers a variety of specialized suction cups and ergonomic controls, significantly improving operator comfort and safety.
Final packaging is done with a Technoplat CW pallet wrapper from VINCENT, which automatically presses, cuts, and seals the stretch film. Alternatively, the Robot S7 self-propelled wrapper is used – ideal for handling pallets of various shapes and sizes, making it indispensable in dynamic logistics centers.
Finally, the secured order is sent to the shipping center.
The entire warehouse space is protected by flexible safety barriers from Anter System. These systems, equipped with sensors, signaling devices, and anti-collision technologies, protect both people and machines and align with the vision of smart logistics of the future.
